The American Red Cross at Kadena Station

The American Red Cross on Kadena Air Base organizes volunteer, instructional, humanitarian, and emergency services on behalf of the Air Force and Army bases on Okinawa, as well as Camp Shields and White Beach.

Training and Certification Courses
The American Red Cross offers a variety of health and safety courses to meet your training needs. Choose from courses in Adult CPR, Infant & Child CPR, Standard First Aid, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Babysitter Training, lifeguarding, and more.
Volunteer Opportunities
American Red Cross volunteers have the opportunity to gain work experience in a variety of fields including administration, personnel management, medical assisting, and teaching. Volunteers are also needed to assist with a variety of programs including disaster services, health and safety instruction and training, and emergency preparedness.
Disaster Services
Disaster strikes without warning, and here on Okinawa, we are particularly vulnerable to various forces of nature. From typhoons to earthquakes, fires to flooding, being prepared is the best way to assure your family's safety. Kadena Red Cross offers preparedness tips, weather updates, and the current TCCOR level.
Emergency Services
Service to the Armed Forces Emergency Communications provides objective, timely, confidential, factual, complete and verified information about an emergency or potential emergency situations involving service members and their immediate family members in order to enable service members and military authorities to make informed decisions.​

Our office is located in building 6800 on Kadena.

From Route 58: Enter Gate 1, then take the first right. Kadena Red Cross is at the end of the street, across from the first stop sign.

From on base: Take Douglas Blvd. toward Gate 1. Take the last left before the gate, at the sign marked Open Source Center Housing. Kadena Red Cross is at the end of the street, across from the first stop sign.
